Finished harvest - time to hit the road!

We just wrapped up the tomato harvest at the Ranch. It was a great year with a high yield and everyone is happy to be finished. Sixteen days go by quickly during the harvest. By the time dinner is over it's time to get to bed and do it all over again the next day. We've been working hard and now it is time to play hard. We just got to George and Sheila's timeshare in Carpenteria for some post-harvest R & R. It is right on the beach. Watching the dolphins swim by while playing gin and drinking gin & tonics is just what the doctor ordered.

Amanda arrives on Tuesday and then her, Bene, Blue (Bene's beagle), and I begin our road trip up to Oregon. We'll be taking two weeks to visit Mammoth, Yosemite, San Francisco, the Redwoods, Crater Lake, and Bend, OR on our way. Camping, hiking, hot springs, waterfalls, cliffs, and beaches await us!
