San Francisco

We weren't even in San Francisco for 24 hours but Bene and Amanda got a good taste for it. After checking in at the hotel we went to Fisherman's Wharf for some seafood. We ended up with the New England clam chowder which didn't even compare to the real stuff (of course). After lunch we tried to go on part of the 49-mile scenic drive but there was too much traffic from detours so we drove through the rest of the Presidio, saw the Painted Ladies from Full House, and strolled through Haight-Ashbury. We then had dinner and drinks at the Broken Record which was a little out of the downtown area but the food made the trip well worth it. Between the three of us we shared the sweet potatertots, pork fries, french fries, bacon grilled cheeseburger, fish tacos, and texas toast & gravy. The Broken Record seems just like any other pub until you get to the kitchen in the back. After ordering we watched the chefs whip up the best looking comfort food I've seen - definitely worth coming back for.
